CINDRA 2025 – Abuja

Centicini Innovation in Data, Research & AI CINDRA 2025 marked a major milestone for the Centicini Team, serving as an annual flagship hybrid event that officially launched the CenticiniGate research collaboration platform. Hosted in Abuja, Nigeria, with virtual access for a global audience, the event was designed as a triad convergence of Artificial Intelligence, Evidence-Based Research, and Data Analytics three pillars that define Centicini’s vision for the future of research and innovation. The event brought together AI researchers, systematic reviewers, data analysts, public health experts, and academic leaders from across Africa and beyond. Participants engaged in high-level discussions on breaking boundaries in data analysis, advancing rigorous evidence synthesis, and applying AI to real-world research and health challenges. A key highlight was the live unveiling of CenticiniGate, demonstrating how the platform enables researchers to showcase publications, connect with collaborators, and participate in structured research ecosystems.   CINDRA was delivered through a blend of expert-led talks, practical insights, and strategic conversations, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration and capacity building. The hybrid format ensured inclusivity, allowing both in-person and virtual participants to actively engage. Overall, CINDRA 2025 positioned Centicini not just as a training provider, but as a research-driven innovation hub, setting the tone for future trainings, labs, and large-scale academic collaborations.

Beyond the Degree: Research, Grants & Global Opportunities in Public Health

Beyond the Degree: Research, Grants & Global Opportunities in Public Health Beyond the Degree was a high-impact, student-centred training designed to bridge the critical gap between academic qualifications and real-world research, funding, and global career opportunities in public health. The session brought together experienced researchers, grant experts, and global health professionals to provide participants with practical, insider guidance on navigating life beyond undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. The training focused on empowering students and early-career researchers with a deeper understanding of graduate school pathways, international research opportunities, grant writing fundamentals, and strategic career positioning. Participants gained clarity on how to transition from coursework to meaningful research output, how to identify and prepare for funded opportunities, and how to align their academic interests with global public health priorities. A major strength of the session was its intensive and interactive format, which allowed speakers to share lived experiences, mistakes, lessons learned, and proven strategies for success. Topics explored included research skill development, grant readiness, mentorship, global collaborations, and positioning for competitive PhD and research roles. Rather than focusing on theory alone, the training emphasized actionable steps participants could immediately apply to strengthen their academic and professional trajectories. Beyond the Degree reflected Centicini’s commitment to capacity building at the grassroots level, equipping students not just to earn degrees, but to build sustainable research careers, access global opportunities, and contribute meaningfully to evidence-driven public health practice.

Systematic Review Institutional Training at Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University, Ideato (KOMU) – Ideato South, Imo State, Nigeria

AI-Powered Systematic Review Training Workshop (KOMU)   The 2-Day AI-Powered Systematic Review Training Workshop at Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University (KOMU) represented a landmark institutional capacity-building initiative delivered by the Centicini Team. Organised in collaboration with the university leadership, the workshop was specifically designed to equip academic staff and researchers with the skills required to conduct rigorous, evidence-based systematic reviews aligned with global best practices. Delivered over two intensive days, the training combined foundational methodology with advanced AI-enabled workflows. Participants were guided through the full systematic review lifecycle, including formulating research questions, PRISMA-compliant reporting, literature searching, screening, risk of bias assessment, data extraction, synthesis, and publication planning. A major highlight was the hands-on demonstration of how artificial intelligence tools can be responsibly integrated into systematic reviews to enhance efficiency without compromising methodological rigor.         The workshop emphasized practical application, exposing participants to tools such as reference managers (e.g., Zotero, Mendeley), AI-assisted screening and synthesis platforms, protocol development support, and reporting software (e.g., RevMan). By the end of the session, participants had a clear roadmap for producing publishable, high-impact systematic reviews suitable for international journals.       This training reinforced Centicini’s role as a trusted partner for institutional research development, showcasing our ability to deliver customised, high-level academic training that strengthens research quality, productivity, and global competitiveness within universities
